Gulf Air Discusses Future with US Ambassador to Bahrain

H.E. Justin Siberell, US ambassador to Bahrain, was recently welcomed to Gulf Air’s headquarters and met with Krešimir Kučko, chief executive, Gulf Air, and Waleed Abdulhameed Al Alawi, deputy CEO, Gulf Air.

They discussed Gulf Air’s 10 new Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners by end-2020 and long-term network expansion plans.

Three Dreamliner services have been announced this year: Bahrain - London, Heathrow which will commence in June, Bahrain – Casablanca, Morocco and Bahrain – Bangkok, Thailand.

Following the launch of eight new routes this year, Gulf Air’s network will serve 49 cities in 26 countries. As per the airline’s long term strategy it is set to expand to North America by 2023 building upon its existing presence through Gulf Air’s reciprocal codeshare agreement with American Airlines.
