In a media event, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) held the official signing ceremony of the 2nd Edition of the Adventures of Maldives, a Facebook Video competition held in partnership with Red Bull. Adventures of Maldives is co-sponsored by Euro Store and Tech Street.

The Maldives welcomed the one millionth visitor for the current year.

Latest figures from the Maldives’ Ministry of Tourism show that the destination saw a 10.7 percent increase in the number of travellers from the Middle East who visited in the first six months of this year when compared with the same period in 2017.

Due to popular demand, and requests from interested participants and partners, the second edition of International Tourism Film Festival Maldives is scheduled to be held from September 06–08.
