Two Seasons Hotel Awarded for Recycling Initiatives

Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) organised virtually its 23nd Emirates Recycling Awards Ceremony.  The ceremony was under the kind patronage of Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qassimi, chairman, Department of Civil Aviation and Honorary Member of EEG. While attending the virtual awards ceremony, bin Saqr Al Qassimi gave a welcoming speech, and said, "We must implement conscious solutions in our everyday lives and within our local communities. We must think globally and act locally, as change begins at home."

EEG awarded Two Seasons Hotel & Apartments a certificate of appreciation for winning the First Runner Up for Can Collection Campaign and Second Runner Up for Glass Collection Campaign.

Through the years, the waste collection and recycling campaign which covers eight (8) major waste streams – aluminum cans, paper, toner, glass, battery, plastic, mobiles and tetrapaks have registered sturdy growth as depicted by increased and active participation of organizations, volunteers and individuals alike.

‘It is our mission to extend our continuous efforts to raise awareness and encouraging our employees, to be more conscious about the environmental sustainability. We are proud to contribute to the biodiversity of the UAE. And this participation is in line with a wider series of initiatives under our Gold Green Globe Label and Dubai Government directives aiming to enhance environmental awareness. “, said Freddy Farid, managing director, Two Seasons Hotel Management Company.
