Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) organised virtually its 23nd Emirates Recycling Awards Ceremony. The ceremony was under the kind patronage of Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qassimi, chairman, Department of Civil Aviation and Honorary Member of EEG. While attending the virtual awards ceremony, bin Saqr Al Qassimi gave a welcoming speech, and said, "We must implement conscious solutions in our everyday lives and within our local communities. We must think globally and act locally, as change begins at home."
Chef Samantha Kekulandura has stunned the judges by winning two gold medals and two silver medals during the IKA Culinary World Cup 2020 held in Stuttgart, Germany from February 15 - 18.
In recent months Two Seasons Hotel participated in the can collection day organized by EEG. An amount of 35 kg of cans were requested for depositing, but Two Seasons Hotel delivered 117 kg.
Soap for Hope initiative has been launched with Two Seasons Hotel from 2015 and to date, 1,5 tons of used soap has been recycled into 200 thousand new bars and every year, about 30 thousand people in local communities in India, Philippines and Africa benefit from this programme.
