The wide-body aircraft is the first of Gulf Air’s incoming fleet of 39 new Boeing and Airbus aircraft. It has 282 seats in a two-class configuration, with 26 falcon gold class seats and 256 economy class seats, over 30 percent more than its previous wide body offering.
Gulf Air is anticipated to take delivery of four more Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners and two Airbus A320neo aircraft by the end of this year.
In addition to the London route, Gulf is to operate the Dreamliner on the Casablanca, Morocco service.
