The Sultanate of Oman welcomed more than 3,5 million tourists in 2019, which reflected an 8,14 percent increase as compared to the number of visits registered in 2018.

Oman’s Ministry of Tourism has revealed that the Sultanate posted a significant 43,6 percent growth in cruise ship tourists from January to December 2019 to reach 283,488 passengers from 193,467 recorded during the same period last year.

The Ministry of Tourism has brought a unique scientific tourism experience to local and international tourists as year-end annular eclipse phenomenon has occured in the Sultanate.

The Oman Ministry of Tourism revealed the latest tourism figures for this summer, highlighting the success of its efforts to increase the sector’s contribution to the country’s economic growth.
