Egypt to add Holy Family's Journey to UNESCO's List

The country’s tourism and antiquities ministries are closely cooperating to add the Holy Family's journey in Egypt to UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

The cooperation is going through a scientific committee formed by the Khaled Anani, minister, antiquities. Meanwhile, Rania el Mashat, minister, tourism, recently addressed a meeting of House of Representatives' tourism and civil aviation committee. The committee was formed to add 25 archaeological sites and churches that are part of the Holy Family's Journey, to the UNESCO list.

A catalogue has been prepared on the journey of the Holy Family in Egypt as part of the country's efforts to revive tourism.
