The announcement was made as part of Resolution No. 421issued by the country’s council of ministers on June 05.

The finance ministry shall finance the expenses on opening and maintenance of the Belarusian consulate general from the amount stipulated in the national budget for the ministry of foreign affairs on the maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular posts of Belarus abroad.

The consulate general in Dubai will be an official representative of the Belarusian government in the UAE, aiming to assist and protect the citizens of the consul's own country, and to facilitate trade and friendship between the two countries.
