The oneworld® alliance celebrates 25 years of delivering an exceptional and seamless travel experience to its customers worldwide, with a member airline flight taking off or landing somewhere in the world every six seconds, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The governing board of the oneworld alliance has appointed Qatar Airways Group chief executive H.E. Akbar Al Baker as chairman. Royal Air Maroc will join the oneworld alliance effective April 01, becoming oneworld’s first full member in the African continent and bringing even more destinations and benefits for oneworld’s frequent flyers. Royal Air Maroc will join oneworld, adding one of Africa’s leading and fastest growing airlines to network. Royal Air Maroc will thus be the third Arab airline member besides Royal Jordanian (a member since 2007) and Qatar Airways (a member since 2013).
