The meeting, held at Intercontinental Amman, was headed by Saleh Bin Nasser Al Jasser, director general, Saudi Arabian Airlines who is also the chairman of AACO executive committee.
The attendees tackled several strategic issues and the development of some joint projects among AACO members. The committee also discussed internal issues in preparation of AACO’s 51st Annual General Meeting that will be held November 05 - 07.
RJ was pleased to host the chief executives of the Arab carriers, and emphasised the significance of these meetings that gather the Arab airlines under one umbrella to find the best solutions that face the air transport industry in the region.
RJ has been an AACO member since 1965, just two years after the airline was established.
The executive committee is the second highest AACO authority and it consists of nine members from among boards of directors or chief executives of Arab airlines.
AACO is made up of 33 Arab airlines that operate over 1,400 aircraft of an average age of seven years, half of the age of other global fleets.
