The revelation was made during her participation in a press conference on the second edition of El Gouna Film Festival (GFF). The Tourism Ministry is interested in supporting film festivals, as they represent a strong addition to Egypt's tourism sector, Mashat said.

“Film industry is one of that main soft powers that greatly contribute to promoting Egypt's tourist attractions,” she added.

Overall, the ministry's plan will focus on establishing contact with different people around the world to brief them on the historical, humanitarian, cultural and artistic aspects of the Egyptian civilization under the rubric of People to People.
