Since the beginning of the year until the end of June, QAIA also witnessed 36,301 aircraft movements and handled 47,282 tonnes of cargo - amounting to increases of 1.1 percent and 1.5 percent respectively - compared to the same period in 2017.
Top destinations contributing to this notable growth were Alexandria, Antalya, Baghdad, Cairo, Doha, Istanbul, Kuwait, Paphos and Rome.
