Shawky has 14 years of hospitality experience in both front office operations, sales, revenue and reservation management in various regional and international hotel chains in Egypt and UAE.

Shawky was cluster director of revenue for The Meydan Hotel and its sister property Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa since December 2015.

In his new role, Shawky will be overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, heading the front office, housekeeping and laundry, while continuing to head the cluster revenue department for both sister properties.
