FIFA, the governing body of world football, is tasked with considering the various applications from countries hoping to host future World Cups. On June 13, on the eve of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, FIFA is due to choose the host country for the 2026 World Cup.

Two potential hosts include Morocco and the US, along with Mexico and Canada. This is not the first time Morocco has applied to host a World Cup. In order to be named host country of 2026 World Cup, Morocco has focussed on promoting its strengths including its geographical, economic and ecological advantages.
