Al Maktoum International Airport, announced turnover of AED7.06 billion (USD1.93 billion) for 2015.

The figure includes all duty free sales which reached AED6.89 billion (USD1.89 billion).

The highest sales for the year were recorded in December 2015 when numbers touched AED721.87 million (USD197.77 million).

Overall, 26,848,832 sales transactions were registered, which is an average of 73,558 per day across both locations.

Perfumes continued to be the highest performing category representing 16.5 percent of total annual sales.
