We must point out how well the announcement for FITUR 2021 was received, to be held in-person and during exceptional dates, from the May 19 - 23, 2021, by all of the national and international companies and professionals who usually meet at this event. The possibility of returning to in-person meetings, in a safe environment, is a key factor in strengthening business relations at a time when face-to-face meetings are even more valuable to boosting business and international tourism activity.
At the same time, IFEMA has designed several measures to support participation at FITUR 2021. On the one hand, it has developed a flexible system and calendar for bookings, contracting and payments, and, on the other hand, it has adapted its cancellation policy to the current times of uncertainty, with a framework that contemplates both incidents of force majeure as well as of other nature.
Along these same lines, IFEMA has introduced a ‘tourism recovery’ special discount for FITUR, that offers all participants discounts between 15 percent and 8 percent, with the aim to contribute, insofar as possible, to reducing the financial burden for exhibitors.
With all of this, FITUR, in its commitment to optimising its scope, rallying power and representation, prepares what will be a strategic edition, and it looks forward to even more industry support than it is already receiving, which is essential to the much-awaited reunion of the international tourism industry.
