The value marked an increase of 58,9 percent over the previous month and a rise of 15,04 percent when compared with the last 12-month average of USD7,79 billion.
In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a drop of 0,9 percent over the last 12-month average with 108 deals against the average of 109 deals.
In value terms, the US led the activity with deals worth USD7,13 billion.
The top five tourism and leisure deals accounted for 84,2 percent of the overall value during September.
The combined value of the top five tourism and leisure deals stood at USD7,54 billion, against the overall value of USD8,96 billion recorded for the month.
