Tsipras visited the Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) pavilion on the opening day of Posidonia 2018, an international shipping exhibition, held recently at Athens Metropolitan Expo in Greece.

The Greek official praised the world-class achievements and competitive edge of Dubai, putting it on par with the world's most important maritime and logistics centres.

Senior DMCA officials headed by Ali Al Daboos, executive director, operations, DMCA and Nawfal Al Jourani, chief officer, Dubai Maritime Cluster Office, welcomed the visit.

They said it reflected the high confidence placed by the international maritime community in Dubai as a leading global maritime centre.
