Founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation, the initiative aims to tackle illegal wildlife trade and protect endangered species worldwide by disrupting trafficking routes and strengthening supply chain security.
The signing took place during the Dubai Airshow 2025 and was signed by Mohamed Hassan, senior vice president, airport services & cargo, flydubai. As part of the United for Wildlife Transport Taskforce, flydubai will collaborate with other airlines, customs authorities and law enforcement agencies across its network to identify and disrupt trafficking by enhancing cargo and passenger screening procedures, and exchange intelligence to prevent illegal wildlife products from entering legitimate transport networks.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO, flydubai, said, “As an airline connecting more than 135 destinations, we recognise the critical role the aviation industry plays in preventing the illegal trafficking of wildlife. By joining United for Wildlife, flydubai is proud to take a stand in protecting endangered species and contribute to global conservation efforts.”
flydubai’s participation supports the UAE’s broader national efforts to combat illegal wildlife trafficking and promote environmental stewardship. The airline will work to raise awareness among its employees and passengers about responsible travel and trade.
flydubai’s participation in United for Wildlife also supports broader efforts across the aviation sector to enhance security processes and protect global transportation networks from misuse.
