The funding of these projects comes within the initiative of lending tourist projects on which the SCTH is working to target the less developed regions.

Abdul -Majeed Al-Naser, general director, tourism investment, SCTH, confirmed seven projects with a value exceeding SAR150 million (USD40 million) have been approved so far within the initiative.

He pointed out that the actual cost of these projects exceeds SAR400 million (USD106.67 million), which greatly helps in raising the hotel rooms in the targeted area, in addition to providing new job opportunities for young people in various regions of Saudi Arabia, thus contributing in achieving the comprehensive tourism development.
