Minor Hotels Hosts Chocolate Training Workshop in Doha

Minor Hotels, owner of international hospitality brands like Anantara, Tivoli and Oaks, operating a portfolio of properties in Doha such as Banana Island Resort Doha and Souq Waqif Hotels, hosted a chocolate training workshop, in collaboration with renowned chocolate leader Felchlin from Switzerland.

The workshop was attended by pastry chefs specialising in the chocolate field from prominent hotels from all over the town.

During the workshop, which was held for the first time in Qatar and the region, Simon Badertscher, chef, Felchlin, who is considered as one of the leading chefs in the chocolate industry, briefed the attendees on Felchlin's large and high-class chocolate collection and exclusive couvertures characterised of the highest standards and quality.

In addition, Badertscher showcased his talent, experience and skills in making various types of chocolate and took the participants in an amazing culinary chocolate journey.

On this occasion, Babu Basker, cluster executive pastry chef, Minor Hotels Doha, said, “We are honoured to welcome Badertscher from Felchlin in Doha, and delighted to host all pastry chefs specialising in chocolate from different hotels. The renowned Swiss company Felchlin has a rich legacy in the chocolate industry, which dates back to 1920.”

During the event, various types of chocolate and its couverture were highlighted in addition to the best ways and methods of preparing it.
