Khaled Al Anany, minister, antiquities, Egypt, revealed that Abdel Fatah Al Sisi, president, Egypt, is anticipated to inaugurate the new facility.
The planning for the museum establishment took 29 years, with the final touches now being carried out for the upcoming inauguration.
The museum covers 5,600 m2 showcasing 3,000 artefacts displayed in six showrooms.
The building also includes a basement gallery and library, in addition to a VIP lounge and a Nile marina.
Among the most valuable pieces to be exhibited are the two m long statue of Sekhmet, the goddess of war, and the one m granite statue of NakhtMin, king of Akhmim, and the generalissimo of King Tutankhamun.
