Following the breakthrough expanded air transport agreement between the UAE and Canada, Emirates is stepping up its frequency with two additional flights per week between Dubai and Toronto. From 20 April, daily flights operate on the busy route to serve huge demand for passenger services.

Royal Jordanian (RJ) announced that it has started operating two weekly scheduled flights to Algiers. The first flight took off from Queen Alia International Airport, heading to Algiers International Airport on March 09. The announcement was made during the joint Algerian-Jordanian ministerial meetings in Algeria, in which Samer Majali, CEO, Royal Jordanian took part.

Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has welcomed the first flight from Sphinx International Airport - the second international airport in Cairo, Egypt, serving the Western part of the capital - via Air Cairo, which will operate two weekly flights on Fridays and Mondays.

flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, recently announced the launch of a daily service to Mogadishu Aden Adde International Airport (MGQ) from March 09.

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced additional frequencies to and from the Republic of Italy effective March 06. The airline’s flights to Milan will become daily with this latest frequency increase, while Rome frequency will increase to three weekly flights, in response to the growing demand on its Italian destinations.

 Emirates has operated its first milestone demonstration flight on a Boeing 777-300ER, powering one of its engines with 100 percent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The flight took off from Dubai International Airport (DXB), and was commanded by Captain Fali Vajifdar and Captain Khalid Nasser Akram, flying for more than one hour over the Dubai coastline.

Cyprus Airways recently announced that after long negotiations it has secured relevant permission and landing slots to operate up to three weekly flights to the UAE’s most populous city, Dubai. Flights will operate to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB).

The global aviation analytics group OAG has named Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, as the most punctual airline in the Middle East and among the most reliable in the world. 

Jazeera Airways recently announced the launch of a new route to Moscow, Russia, serving an increasing demand for flights to the Middle East region and beyond. Jazeera will be the first airline to operate flights between the two cities.
