Etihad Airways has appointed Simon Newton-Smith as vice president of the Americas as the airline continues to strengthen its presence in the North American continent. 

Emirates, one of the largest international airlines, has 50 Airbus A350-900 aircraft on order with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2024.

Etihad Airways will be making travel to the US more convenient this winter by increasing flights to New York.

flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, recently announced the launch of flights to Samarkand in Uzbekistan from September 20 with a twice-weekly service. With the addition of flights to Samarkand, flydubai grows its operations in the market to two points including the capital, Tashkent.

A steady surge of growth throughout the second quarter (Q2) has propelled Dubai International’s (DXB) half yearly traffic to 27.9 million passengers, just 1.2 million shy of the airport’s total annual traffic in 2921.

Etihad Airways is set to strengthen air connectivity between the UAE and the Philippines this winter with an additional daily service to Manila.
