On the March 30, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), the government of Uganda’s destination marketing organisation, launched its new destination brand Explore Uganda, The Pearl of Africa, as part of a tourism and media event held at the Sheraton Jumeriah Beach Resort in Dubai.

 

 

Smart Africa and the UAE’s Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote investment into Africa’s digital transformation. The partnership will also see Smart Africa and AIM collaborating on core events to promote dialogue to advance development agendas.

The UAE tourism sector performed outstandingly in 2020 despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, revealed by the Ministry of Economy, noting that the sector was among the least affected and fastest to recover around the world.
