H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court and Chairman of Etihad Rail, witnessed the connection of Abu Dhabi and Dubai with a direct railway within the ‘UAE National Rail Network’, in a major development within the largest infrastructure project in the UAE.

Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE’s national railway network, recently announced its partnership with the Saudi Railway Company (SAR), by signing a strategic agreement establishing a framework for the exchange of services, training, and knowledge transfer.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler's representative, in Al Dhafra Region, inaugurated track-laying works across Al Dhafrah Region in Package A of Stage Two of the UAE’s national railway, during his visit to Etihad Rail’s railhead in Al Ruwais.
