Pieter Elbers, CEO, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) visited Dubai Expo January 23, and co-hosted a reception at the Netherlands’ pavilion, attended by senior leaders from within the local Netherlands’ diplomatic and business community and the members of Dutch Sustainability group (DSG) and VIP guests.

A delegation from the Ajman Free Zone led by H.E. Ali Abdulla Bin Towaih AlSuwaidi, director general, AFZ visited Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai site, in line with AFZ’s commitment and vision of achieving sustainability. 

The pavilion has been built to operate net zero for energy and water consumption as part of its sustainable building design. The delegation explored the pavilion’s features to learn more about how to create a more sustainable future and the many ways people can practice sustainable living, including solar energy and smart use of water.

 Ajman Free Zone, which is the first free zone to visit the pavilion and the first entity from Ajman, has been adopting the trend and is set to complete the construction of its Eco-Friendly Zone project, which integrates sustainable technologies and practices in line with its environmental sustainability agenda.

On Janauary 25, Zdravko Počivalšek, economy minister, Slovenia, on an official visit to the UAE, symbolically took over the management of the Slovenia pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai.
