Royal Jordanian (RJ) announced that it has started operating two weekly scheduled flights to Algiers. The first flight took off from Queen Alia International Airport, heading to Algiers International Airport on March 09. The announcement was made during the joint Algerian-Jordanian ministerial meetings in Algeria, in which Samer Majali, CEO, Royal Jordanian took part.

Amidst the ongoing recovery from the global pandemic and subsequent challenges within the air transport industry, Airport International Group has recorded noteworthy achievements in terms of traffic growth, global connectivity, decarbonization and customer experience during 2022.

Royal Jordanian (RJ) reached a partnership agreement with the SOS Children's Villages, whereby the airline will sponsor five families for a whole year as part of its corporate social responsibility and in appreciation for SOS' humanitarian mission of caring for orphaned children and those who lack parental care.

Airport International Group announced that during the first 10 months of this year, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) received 6,557,424 passengers (PAX), registering a 81.15 percent increase and 14.13 percent decline against 2021 and 2019 figures, respectively.
