Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Qatar has announced that it is one of the first airports in the world to be awarded ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity Management System Certification by British Standards Institution (BSI).
Hamad International Airport (HIA) has announced that it handled 529,436 tonnes of cargo during the first quarter (Q1) of this year, which signifies a 4,7 percent increase in the global hub’s cargo activity in comparison to the same quarter of 2019.
According to leading data and analytics company GlobalData, outbound and inbound air travel in Malta is expected to increase at CAGRs of 6,9 percent and 6,6 percent respectively between 2020 and 2023. The Air Malta agreement with Qatar Airways will offer increased connectivity from Malta to regions such as Africa, which Qatar Airways has been heavily investing in recent years.
Qatar Airways has signed a comprehensive codeshare agreement with Air Malta.
