Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, on June 24 celebrated the start of its flights to Al Qassim, marking the first flight ever connecting the UAE’s capital with Al Qassim in the central region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Air Arabia, hailed as the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator, on June 15 marked the inauguration of its first flight to Kraków in Poland connecting Sharjah International Airport and Kraków John Paul II International Airport with a frequency of daily flights.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, and Egyptair have signalled their intent to strengthen their partnership by recently signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU), to enhance commercial and operational ties to provide travellers with wider choices, higher quality services and increased value.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE and JetBlue, New York's Hometown Airline, recently announced the addition of loyalty benefits which commenced on May 08, as part of its long-standing codeshare partnership. The agreement between the two airlines was celebrated at Dubai’s Arabian Travel Market.

Etihad Airways has announced it will start flying its A380 double-decker to Paris, CDG from November 01, of this year.

In a move to broaden its network and enhance connectivity within the Middle East, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, recently announced the addition of Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia, to its growing list of destinations, increasing its total number of Saudi gateways to four.
