Wizz Air and HTS, a leading global travel technology platform, recently announced a partnership to integrate a new solution to help customers navigate disruptions on wizzair.com and the Wizz Air app.

Wizz Air has launched a new route from London to Media, which will take off on  August 01, which will be the airline’s second from the UK using the longer-range Airbus XLR aircraft.

Airport International Group announced that the low-cost carrier, Wizz Air, has recently commenced direct flights between Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) and four European and Middle Eastern cities at a rate of two weekly flights per destination.

The launch of Wizz Air’s Abu Dhabi arm could pay dividends for the low-cost carrier by tapping into underserved markets and support the emirate by stimulating inbound tourism. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the newest national airline of the UAE, on December 29, 2020 confirmed that Athens will be its inaugural destination, with flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport starting on January 15.  The airline is also to start flights from Abu Dhabi to Thessaloniki, starting on February 04.

During an interview with aviation industry consultant John Strickland, during ATM Virtual, Joszef Varadi, CEO, Wizz Air, confirmed his ambitions for the low-cost carrier’s impending move to operate out of Abu Dhabi.
