Jazeera Airways Operates Inaugural Flight to Addis Ababa

Jazeera Airways, a Kuwait low-cost carrier, on September 09 operated its inaugural flight from Kuwait to Addis Ababa, marking the launch of its newest destination in Africa and strengthening direct air connectivity between Kuwait and Ethiopia.

The inaugural flight was officially flagged off at Jazeera Terminal 5 (T5) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by H.E. Sied Muhumed Jibril, ambassador, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the State of Kuwait, and Naser Fahad Alobaid, CEO, Jazeera Airways, celebrating this important new connection between the two countries.

Commenting on the launch, Paul Carroll, chief commercial officer, Jazeera Airways, said, “Addis Ababa is an important addition to our growing network as the first and one of the most strategic destinations in Eastern Africa. This new route serves the large Ethiopian community in Kuwait and supports growing business, trade and leisure travel between the two countries. As we continue to expand, we see Africa as a significant growth market, with Addis Ababa strengthening our presence on the continent while giving passengers convenient access through Kuwait to other destinations.”

Jazeera Airways will operate direct flights between Kuwait and Addis Ababa three times weekly with flights available for booking through the Jazeera Airways website and mobile app.
