A seasoned executive in the global hospitality sector, Stoppe is widely respected for his ability to lead complex luxury operations, reposition iconic resorts, and deliver sustainable long-term value for both guests and owners. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Conrad Dubai as the hotel continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading destination for luxury travellers, corporate guests, and culinary enthusiasts in the region.
Stoppe most recently served as general manager of Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, where he led a major repositioning of the landmark resort, enhancing its luxury offerings and reinforcing its status as one of the Middle East’s premier leisure destinations. Under his leadership, the property delivered strong operational performance while elevating guest experiences and strengthening its international brand presence.
Before joining Hilton, Stoppe served as general manager of Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, one of the UAE’s most iconic luxury desert resorts located in the Empty Quarter. During his tenure, he spearheaded several strategic initiatives that enhanced the resort’s guest experience, sustainability practices, and global visibility. His leadership contributed to the continued evolution of the resort as a benchmark for experiential luxury hospitality.
Stoppe’s extensive international career spans leadership positions with some of the world’s most respected hospitality brands, including Anantara, Marriott International, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and InterContinental Hotels Group. Over the years, he has managed luxury city hotels and resorts across Germany, Austria, the United States, Thailand, Malaysia, the Maldives, and the United Arab Emirates, gaining deep insight into global hospitality trends and diverse guest expectations.
